    The actual cricut machine is awesome, the cricut app is actually hand down the worst design app Ive ever dealt with. If it decides to load when I get on it, I have constant issues with the absolute insane amount of restraints on everything. Extremely clunky app, insanely slow, zero options to save space on my vinyl sheets. The app wants to have 3 inches of safe room on each side of the sticker boundary??? Also can’t make any sort of sticker bigger than 11 x 8 inches. Great use of $400 so glad I bought one. Go to work on a project you had saved previously? 50/50 chance it deletes it when it asks EVERY SINGLE TIME if you want to work on previous project or continue. I want to work on the project I just saved why are you asking if I want to delete everything and reload it to the very first project I ever created? Id return this absolute waste of money in a heartbeat if I could but you guys wont accept it. Screw over at its finest thanks Edit: No I wont contact support, they never answer. (Already tried plenty of times) Id imagine even if they did care they wouldn’t help. I can’t even setup a sticker to get ready to cut now it wont even load!

    I was second guessing purchasing any circuit machine due to the reviews saying they have the machine but it’s overwhelming they don’t know where to begin. I was extremely surprised with how incredibly easy the machine is to navigate. Soooo in love! Just take it out of the box and go for it.

    I haven’t been able to cut/make anything since recent update. App freezes when I select “Make It” regardless of device I’m using (iPad, phone or desktop). I’m paying for a service that I can’t use.

  • Amazing Hardware, Infuriating App

    I find the app infuriating, but I persist in the hopes that the glitchiness is being worked on, and because what the Cricut hardware can do is amazing. I use Design Space on my desktop for designing, then connect to my Cricut Maker via Bluetooth from my iPhone. Both the desktop experience and Bluetooth connected app experience leave something to be desired. Frequently the app will seemingly freeze or not respond, my setting updates won’t save, etc. In designing, manipulating shapes and subtracting to get certain final shapes isn’t very intuitive, though I admit that could be my familiarity with other programs over this one. I haven’t spent much time with tutorials yet. I hope the buggy issues get worked out. I never write reviews or rate things, but they asked and my frustration level is high. That being said, when I do get things to work I love the results.

    Since the new upgrade today, April 30th 2024, I now am unable to actually design my own designs in Cricut without getting “that is not available” without an access account. Since this is the only software that will run the machine, I am very upset and disappointed that Cricut thinks they can hold you hostage and make you pay a monthly fee considering how expensive the machines are. I own more than one and they get a lot of money from me for their supplies. But I will probably NOT upgrade any of my machines but look for alternatives for cutting machines m.

    Well, the machine does a great job cutting things. But their whole system is set up to only be able to really buy their images. If you are someone whose happy with cutting out other peoples design that’s great. But their software is far from friendly as they nickel and dime you from fonts to vinyl. Bringing in images from somewhere else even if saved with no background when brought into app now has a white background. For 10$ a month you can use background remover. $400 for that machine and your software is incredibly limited to independent creativity. So you’re either a Adobe or other graphic software guru or your limited to the cutesy world of Cricut. I’m not interested for images for children. I regret the money I spent.

    For some reason it’s gone, so I saved one of my projects as flower, and I saved it to iPhone, but for some reason, I cannot find it anywhere on my iPhone it is completely gone. I was trying to find it on the app. My Files just everywhere, I searched everywhere and it’s nowhere.

    It took me quite a long time to learn the whole Cricut and Design Space, well I’m always learning! I don’t usually have issues with either the design program or the machine, but if/when I do, it is most always something I’m not doing right. This is a great tool for me to create.
