You can either browse the map, select an airport, or enter coordinates directly.

it used to work on my iPad mini

I tried to contact the developer via email, but got an immediate “bounced mail” notification.
I'm a “Luddite” that insists on using apps dedicated for the iPhone on my iPad mini-R. I've rarely run into a problem, but this app is one of them that won't run on the iPad mini — at least, normally.
It's a “GUI” issue, whereby the display is “jumpy”.
I also run this on an iPhone 5S, and it runs fine.
