  • New Home Screen is terrible

Can’t change the order of what you see on the screen and I and get rid of the one I tried to DELETE first, which now seems to be the only one I can’t delete.. confusing instructions!
  • The new app interface is much worse

Information in small fonts on relatively large and mostly empty cards. Prior version of the App had a much better and concise interface. Also, not sure if related to the app update , but I started seeing incorrect sleep measurements in the app - the watch/app registered me as sleeping when I sat in front of TV in the evening.. so it wrongly added an hour of sleep to my timeline

This app was perfect. Latest update destroyed user experience, created more taps, clicks, swipes for less information. Do Not Upgrade. Hold on to your previous version as long as you can!
  • Do not like the “new” layout

The new tiled look that is presented was not well thought out. I now need to scroll down to see the basic categories I prefer in my dashboard, plus the data doesn’t even populate (I.e. heart rate shows resting avg but not the current, it’s just —). Please give the option to view the previous format; it was much better having that compact look.

The latest update with at a glance and in focus options turned an app I loved into an app I dread opening. The old compact tiles were just awesome and useful. Please go back.
  • App upgrade is terrible

Under the new forced app upgrade, it is very difficult to find specific desired data. As a result, I rarely open my garmin app (previously used multiple times a day). Pretty much use Strava now and the garmin upgrade is so bad, have decided to purchase a Coros watch soon and go totally away from Garmin. Have been a garmin user for many years and was always pleased until now.
  • I go back and forth with this watch.

Needs a find my device for when it is lost or stolen. Only available to help locate if it’s within Bluetooth range.
  • New app interface has lost functionality

The new app interface is absolute trash. I purchased a Garmin in January after being a FitBit user for 10 years. Well, they decimated their app/GUI and I switched to Garmin because of it (and also because it’s a better device) but now Garmin has done the same thing to their user interface that FitBit did. I don’t understand why these fitness wearables must change to interfaces that make you endlessly scroll to find stats while making everything clunkier. If they don’t bring back an easy, vertical, at a glance feature they had previously, I will move to another wearable. I have loyalty to functionality, not a brand name.

I work in mobile app design and understand that nothing stays the same forever, but Garmin did not do their homework with this update. Want to see your stats for today ‘at a glance’? Don’t bother looking at the new ‘At a glance’ section - you can only see some of your important metrics without a tap because all the real estate is taken up by big panels with details on a few metrics. Data should be summarized with the option to tap into more detail. If you like scrolling and tapping just to see the same information you could find within a second of opening the app before, then this update is for you.
  • Used to be good

Since the update the only notifications are phone disconnected and connected every time I walk out of the room. No text messages, phone call or any others. New format is useless not being able to all stats with a quick scroll.
