    I enjoy Meetups a lot. App sometimes does not work and recently adding to iOS calendar stopped working unless I give full access. Hope things are corrected soon.

  • Dumbing down the member app

    You continue to dumb down the member app and make it more and more difficult to organize a group and manage events. Quit removing capabilities on the member app and at a minimum, reinstall the ability of organizers to read the answers to RSVP questions. Event postings disappear from the member app on their scheduled day, when the time they are scheduled to end passes. They can’t be found in either current or past events, making it impossible for members to post photos via the app until the following day. (And on and on….)

    I did these meetups for over a year and in a variety of different venues. Save for one or two - I began to feel like I was back in Junior year of high school. Despite my being friendly, sociable and respectful. It seems the same cliques dominate each meetup. And although I joined to expand my circle of friends, some of the events were geared towards singles. At those, Just like on the dating apps, the decent respectful men are ignored in favor of the loud mouth jerks or flashy idiots. Didn’t matter that I have a very good profession, higher income, ok looks, am over six foot tall etc….Honestly, I’ve had more success on Tinder, Bumble etc and at least there you are exposed to thousands of people without the burden of running all over town simply to be ignored.

    Organizers pay a lot to host their groups. And no help is available from meetup. They are MIA

    I’m an organizer and the event announcement emails are not getting sent out. Whether it’s an app wide issue or specific to my account, it needs to be addressed.

    Edit: Please add a way to block groups. I’m getting an overwhelming number of requests to join meetups on money making, Business, investing, bitcoin and it all screams scam. Find out why scammers are using your app and... Please let us block groups so that we can weed through the nuisance scam groups in other metro.

  • Payment and messaging issues

    Two weeks ago I paid to join a group. My payment was processed, but the organizer has still not added me, my follow up messages to him and to meetup requesting help on the matter do not show up in my message folder. Disputing a payment and getting a refund should be easier than this. I appreciate the social opportunities the app offers but I will never make a payment through the app again!

    What good is an app that will not even open. Thanks for nothing Meetup. No wonder so many people are unhappy with your so called upgrade. Your developers should be fired and replaced with people who know what they’re doing.
