Subscription: Seed Oil Scout comes with a 7 day free trial. This trial is only redeemable once. The subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the subscription period. Seed Oil Scout is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. There is no increase in price when renewing. Payment will be charged through your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Once purchased, refunds will not be provided for any unused portion of the term. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in account settings in the App Store after purchase.     I love the idea and the set up. Something like this is great and should honestly be free though… it’s already so hard to find good quality food and let alone it’s expensive to eat a quality diet. Last thing I need is another subscription. Much rather do my own homework on where I eat instead of pay to be told. Will re download if you guys can figured out a different way to bring some revenue in instead of charging people.

    This app is really innovative and provides so much information about all the restaurants using oils. The price they want for the app is on the pricey side, especially compared to similar apps like Yuka ($8 a year), the seed app is $35 a year. The app has a template to send to restaurants which are not on the app currently to find out info if they use oils. So we, as app users, are helping them fill in the information to expand their app. I feel like since we are having to do this work, we shouldn’t have to pay to use it.

    I’ve tried to reach out to support many times but I’ve gotten 0 answers. There’s also barely any restaurants on this and it’s been incorrect many times. I will update this review if support ever responds to me.

    Never really understood how bad restaurant ingredients can be until really investigating it, and this app does most of the work for you. Brilliant.

    I’m on the west coast, and I feel only the major cities have any good restaurant reviews. I feel there’s not information on all the restaurants that could be seed oil free, especially in rural areas. Only would recommend if your in a large city.

    This is a phenomenal idea, but the execution is terrible. As soon as I opened the app I was hit with a paywall. You literally can’t use any of the features of this app without paying for a subscription. The main problem with that, is that anyone trying to use this app and eat TRULY healthy cannot afford to pay for this. Eating healthy is already so unbelievably unaffordable in todays society that none of us can afford to pay just to FIND places that serve healthy food. There’s so many methods the developers could use to make this app free and still make money, but they’re not gonna do that. It’s literally 10x faster to just google some places in your area that don’t use seed oils, or call ahead and ask the place you want to go to. Eating healthy is a privilege most people will never be able to afford.

    I, like just about everyone else, am deleting the app because of the cost. It’s unfortunate because when I first got the app it was free. I even contributed info on a couple of restaurants. I’m not paying for something that is getting a lot of their restaurant reviews from us. Its just as easy to call a restaurant and ask what oils they use.
