  • Latest update broke routing

Been using this app for a year and it’s been great. Much better than Tesla routing do you are not trying to spend 40 mins per charge. Unfortunately this latest update cause the app to lock up for each trip. I have to copy the spots and charging levels and manually enter them in the Nav. iPhone 15PM, Tesla Model X P100DL+
  • Impossible to create a route

I’ve used this app for three years. It has always been clunky, but have great results that made it worthwhile. But it’s gotten unusable. I’ve entered waypoints but the Plan button is still disabled, and it offers no clue as to why.
  • It was fantastic, until I tried to drive and use it then it crashed.

I used it to plan and it was great but then literally at the start of the first road trip with it is crashed, and never loaded again. Everything else worked in CarPlay except this app. I force quit everything and ultimately had to uninstall and reinstall to use it. And I unfortunately lost all that tracking. I have the premium subscription and and OBDII port for live data. I was so excited but it didn’t work. 2020 Chevy Bolt iOS 17

I love this app. I really don’t understand the hate in the reviews. It’s an excellent app. I’ve done many road trips in my Tesla M3 and it’s really reliable for route planning. I don’t ever actually use it for navigation, but why would I when I have Google Maps in the Tesla anyway?
  • Still so buggy

This app still feels like a very buggy beta app after all this time. It changes routes without warning mid-trip. It is not able to factor in traffic conditions on a consistent basis. It looses connection with the OBD transmitter. You’re better off figuring out charging solutions on your own.
  • Doesn’t Work

Usually I do not write reviews but I have here because this app needs some work. It’s great in theory but just doesn’t work well enough to use in practice. Chargers missing on map, doesn’t calculate based on my SOC and I can’t put in mileage or mile/kwh for it to calculate a route. It always defaults to 95% charge so I can’t set a plan based on say being half full. Would also be great if it allowed me to input a recent model car (2023) but for whatever reason they aren’t in the app. I suppose the battery capacity and efficiency is all the same. Other than this, decent layout. Will hang on to it in case improvements make it so this is useful. PlugShare remains the best app for finding chargers and basic route planning.
  • Stale UI, Rivian?

ABRP has always had an odd UX that is not very intuitive. I figured by now there would be some improvement but no. Still feels like a web app running in a container. Confusing how vehicle settings have impact on trip planned. I drive a Rivian and find it extremely confusing how this app is owned by Rivian yet there is no live data recording… WTH?
  • Just Doesn’t Work Anymore

I recall using this app a while ago for a few roadtrips and it worked alright. I’ve tried this app a few times on a recent roadtrip in our 4th Tesla that we just bought - I can’t get the API to stay connected in my app so my SOC is constantly wrong. Removing the car and re-adding it works until the next stop, then I have to repeat the process. It also took a few tries to get the app to recognize my actual location using the “my position” option for route planning. I’ll continue to follow the app’s development process and hope that these kinks are worked out. However, with how long this app has been around and how popular it is, it’s quite surprising this hasn’t been polished yet.
  • I really want to like this app

There’s a lot going on behind the scenes that could make this app phenomenal. Its calculations for range, its ability to take in live data, it has the potential to be one of the best EV apps on the market. But the UI/UX is just bad. And there’s no way to sugarcoat that. Recently, I tried setting destinations from my current location and every. single. time. it kept overriding the “Use current location” and instead generated a path from our house. I *want* to pay to use this app but until the experience is better, I’ll deal with other apps that are of less quality on the backend.
  • Much improved!

I’ve been using this app every since I heard about it. At first, it was alright. Some things didn’t work, soc guesses were always way off even on short trips. Weather and traffic were sporadic. But recently, all of that has been fixed. Traffic works, it adjusts based on weather, soc guesses are spot on even on longer trips. This app is indeed useful! While I don’t use it every day, it comes in useful for piece of mind on those days I have a lot of running around to do. I pop in all the places I need to go, and it gives me the estimate! I will say, it’s a bit heavy with the estimated energy use still, even after 200+ miles, it may think I’ll have 2% less battery than I do. That may just be the devs making sure users can make it. But I do get pretty good mi/kw. So, I’m okay with that. I also wish the station info worked better. I’d say at best, 10% of stations I come across have live data. This is a paid feature, so I wish it worked better than it does. Over all, it’s super useful for those of us who in car nav isn’t that great. Which, let’s be honest, is most brands.
