    when i’m restless/anxious then i check my phone that i was trying to lay down at a time i have peak energy my anxiety started to gain less meaning in a good way. now because i know that i just have peak energy i want to handle those task i set my mind out to in that time and rise is helping me feel motivated and aligned to do just that. i never write reviews also, i’m deeply surprised and moved this app. surprisingly amazing tool!

  • Worth a shot, but some significant problems.

    As someone whose always had bad sleep problems, I was very interested in this. I believe it does a decent job at creating good schedules and urging good habits for the users, but (as far as I can tell) it doesn’t have an option to base things off required wake up times. As a student, I’m usually up by 7-7:30. The app doesn’t make an effort to ask about a required wake up time. Yes, it’s possible to push back the time, but that just seems a little odd to me. And I could’ve missed this fact, as I believe the app design is just a little bit too much. Between all the buttons and the pop-ups and the sliders - I find it to be a bit visually overwhelming and difficult to navigate at times. I haven’t had the app for long, so my opinion might change, but as of right now it’s very so-so.

    I wanted to like this app. It feels efficient for those intending to maximize their productivity. And I wanted to be one of those people. Unfortunately, I have idiopathic hypersomnia. I thought this app would be able to help me despite this, but I was wrong. I sleep anywhere from 10 to 16 hours a day, and this app praises that kind of sleep, but I know it’s not healthy to sleep that long. This app would have me believe I have no sleep debt ever—and my energy is at 100%. This is far from the truth. I’m constantly exhausted despite all efforts. This app only works if you’re normal, and doesn’t understand upper limits of healthy sleep. But we’re to believe that the “science” this app is based on can’t be wrong when I input 14 hours of continual sleep data. Two stars.

    Support was able to help me out with this (once I found the corner of the site where users could actually contact Support). It's fixed this time although I worry about the same thing happening in future app updates--hopefully they'll get it fixed for next time! Fixing my rating for now because I really do rely heavily on this app!
  • Lots of Problems

    This app hs repeatedly miscalculated my sleep debt. Example: 2 hours of debt plus 4 hours of debt does not equal 11 hours of debt. Turns out it was a bug. Filed an inquiry. They saw the problem and fixed it, then it happened three more times. The most recent time I tried deleting and redownloading the app cuz that has fixed it before. Well now I have a new bug: No login screen. Only a signup screen. So I decided I wanted to cancel my subscription because I’m tired of these bugs. Except one problem: you can only cancel from your account in the app, which I can’t access. I filed an inquiry two months ago. No reply. Filed a new inquiry two weeks ago. No reply. So I’m trapped in my subscription and none of Rise’s support team will help me. It’s really stressful because it is an expensive subscription. For any Rise employee reading this, my inquiry as of today is still not acknowledged and is #76746. The reason I gave two stars instead of one is because when the app works properly, it is great. The energy peak and melatonin window stuff is very very helpful to me. If my app consistently worked properly and the Rise team made me feel like I’m worth their time, I’d give a much much different review.
