  • Unable to change Dash Location

I moved to a new state and the app will now no longer allow me to DoorDash unless I am back where I used to live. I’ve gone through all of the settings, and there is no option for me to change my dashing location, which is extremely frustrating.

doorDash is by far the worst of the gig apps. The customer support and pay is ridiculously terrible. I would not recommend being a driver to my worst enemy.
  • Waste of time

I’m a 20 year old dude with no criminal record and a flawless driving record since I got my license 4 years ago. I applied for the background check (which they use Checkr for) and there was an error so I was denied. My attempts to contact both DoorDash and Checkr have been ignored every time. Overall a worthless experience and waste of time. Highly recommend anyone interested puts their time into looking for a job instead.

I originally signed up on DoorDash in 2019. I had my account with them for three years until one day I had to sign in to the app where then they asked me to verify my identity with my current drivers license and a selfie for them to turn around and deactivate my account saying they could not verify my identity. Then after waiting for a year to get my account back, after numerous emails that I sent just for them to turn around and the same thing happened again. The email I received this time after they deactivated my account again said I violated the platform when I hadn’t even did one order since I was reactivated, so I don’t understand why I was deactivated for my identity with a current drivers license that I possess in my state. When I tried to speak with customer service, all they could tell me was I should’ve received an email telling me why but like I said all that email said was that I violated the platform. How can I violate the platform when I haven’t even done one order since I got the account back and what could possibly be wrong with my ID that is current in my state. I wouldn’t even write them one star if I had the option to do so.

I am a dasher almost one year. And support never helped with problems. And they scammed me with weekly bonus when I was qualified for the weekly bonus I didn’t get that. So if you don’t have any jobs and you very need money, you can try, if you can get another job, definitely get the other job

If I could give ZERO or NEGATIVE stars, I absolutely would do so. I had done Doordash deliveries for the better part of 2 1/4 years; originally doing it full-time before falling back to part-time with my other main job I acquired. I was a Top Dasher for all but the first three months, completed almost 12k deliveries, never had my rating drop below a 4.9, and always kept my completion rate at minimum 95%. I was also lucky to find an area where I was able to make great money doing Doordash as a top Dasher! Yet, three weeks ago, I got an e-mail and text saying my Dasher account had been deactivated for alleged “fraudulent use of the Red Card” and for “overpaying for a customer’s Shop and Deliver order.” Aside from the fact that the accusation was false, is an extreme punishment for just one instant (first ever time I was accused of such a thing) and such noticed was received MULTIPLE DAYS after my previous dash beforehand, Dasher/Doordash Support refused to provide ANY transparency regarding the date and the merchant for which the alleged violation and no one from Support would tell me anything. In fact, the only people who have supposed acccess to that information are the Escalation Teams, who handle things like appeals and safety complaints, and for absolutely stupid and baffling reasons and despite being within the same company, you can’t even get to them by phone unless they call you, nor can you get transferred over the phone to them. The only somewhat-consistent way you can even contact them is responding to their e-mails. What’s more of a shocker is that in the initial e-mail, Doordash says clear as day I would receive my money from the rest of that week’s legitimate deliveries on my regular pay schedule. Yet, when I did get paid, I got EVERY PENNY I earned from that same week; MAJOR NONSENSE AND A BIIIIG RED FLAG!! Despite filing as thorough and detailed of an appeal as possible, even going into it partially blind by Doordash’s lack of transparency, my appeal got rejected and remain deactivated from their platform. It just goes to show that no matter how excellent and highly-rated of a delivery driver you are, Doordash will still punish you for absolute bulls**t, stab you in the back, and throw you off a cliff. All just to accept lower-rated and newer drivers who neglect customer orders, are rude to merchant staff, drive terribly, and have lower overall ratings. SHAME!! This is not even counting the fact of gradual changes Doordash made to the UI and functionality over the time I was a dasher in which, despite some platform improvements being made, continuously made the over user experience WORSE for dashers and the handling of issues by Doordash’s support staff went from being great to inconsistently mediocre (including instances of arguments and lack of listening by support agents). Not to mention the fact before I got wrongfully deactivated, Doordash was gradually ending its Top Dasher program across the country and replacing it with a tiered system that’s more complicated and dilutes more-rewarding deliveries from the best of the best. Needless to say I will NEVER be doing business with Doordash again, not even as a customer, and no longer do I ever recommend anyone to sign up to be a dasher. Make money doing something else!
  • Where is those good deliveries at?

I had to stop doing DoorDash this morning and login into Uber eats for the first time in a month. This morning all DoorDash want to give me was two dollar delivery. going 7 miles or 14 mile deliveries for $4.50. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the hundreds of new Dashers with their bright cherry red bags going in and out of the restaurants I guess that’s what 25,000 deliveries gets me.
  • No protections and the worst customer service!

This platform is horrible as a Dasher. If you feel unsafe in a place or building you can not exclude their orders and have to deny them and you are penalized for their denial if you are a top dasher, as you have to accept more then 70% of all offered orders. The on phone customer service agents are SELDOM helpful and if you try to leave a review on either the phone or app that would be deemed anything but glorifying they don’t accept it. I’m fully committing to other platforms at this point, tired of the disappointing assistance.
