  • Customer Support??? Does it exist???

Been using the app now for a couple years, and it does a “good” job tracking workouts. Typically I’ll manually change 75% of “recommended” exercises. The app tries to be to cute with their recommendations, but again it logs exercises and assist with creating workouts… not bad. My 2 stars is for the customer support… or lack there of!! I’ve sent three separate messages to support through the app with questions and suggestions for improvement. NOT once have I heard back from this team. Is there no support? Why have a “contact support” option if NO ONE will respond….

My friends and I all use Fitbod. Wish there was a way we could see each others progress in the app. Almost like Apple fitness. I want alerts on their progress and when they finish a workout. I want to know what workouts their doing. I’m competitive. Give me some competition!
  • Great App But Expensive

I like this app but don’t know if the cost is really justified
  • Incorrect caloric estimation

When tracking treadmill with incline or other aerobic with resistance, incline and resistance is not taken into account. It's far off what shown on the machine even when not entering weight into the machine.
  • It’s fine, most of the time

I do 3 casual workouts a week and I’ve been using this app for about a year. It’s fine most of the time. It has useful features, but I wish it had a better workout generator or had more parameters we could customize for it. Sometimes it has you do multiple workouts targeting the same muscle group (ex: 4 sets of 14 crunches and then 5 sets of 15 of a different type of crunch, but also an an exercise) like it isn’t smart enough to register the impact other exercises in the same workout have on each other. The other problem is that I wish I could limit the number of reps it recommends. I would switch workout goals, but then it reduces the cardio duration and I have to manually change it but then the set duration for the other workouts is thrown off because it calculates the sets and reps to fill my time goal. It’d be a lot better if I could program in a specific cardio length and set maximum reps per set and maximum sets per exercise. I.e. I’d rather do 4 sets of 12 on a higher weight or more difficult exercise than 5 sets of 15. I did a lot of complaining but legitimately those are my only complaints. It’s a good app.
  • Decent application

This application performs fairly well, but has some room for improvement as well. in general, the application provides thoughtful programming for the novice lifter. Nevertheless, intends to gravitate more towards bodybuilding, centric goals. For example, the metrics for progress and tracking are bodybuilding centric. This application could vastly improve if it was able to provide programming specific to an individuals desired goals in particular ones that do not pertain to bodybuilding. a good example of this would be that the Apple would provide programming that helps an individual achieve their goal towards a one rep max back squat or a 400 m run. overall this is a good application. Still has a long way to go.
  • Great tool

Overall it’s a great app. Not too expensive for a years worth. It’s helped me a great deal as I’ve lifted before in the past but never been terribly knowledgeable of how to do exercises properly or even which muscle groups to do etc. personally having a personal plan to stick to is what helps me stick to working out and so far this app has helped me I’ve been going consistently for a month. My only complaint is that sometimes it seems to ignore your equipment particularly it always wants to do bands even if you say you don’t have it. The initial stating your experience doesn’t seem to be a great start for it learning your initial weights. It will be like okay squat 50lbs which I could do that all day. But then be like okay let’s bench 170lb which is like my max on a good day. It would do better to start out with an assessment either asking you want you can do. Or basically each time you’ve done a weight for the first time have you keep increasing each set until you can’t or so the max effort thing the first week to get a better picture of what you can do. It just took a lot of manual tweaking to get the app to learn my weights. Oh and the last thing is the supersets can be rediculous sometime. Like it will ask you to lift 20lb immediately for 50 on the bar which tbh I’d prefer the same weight (unless I was at the gym and had access to any weight instantly ) or one time it needed a superset Bench press they. Immediately do a bench crunch where you have to move the whole dang bench out. It seems like the AI isn’t aware of optimal supersets in terms of comvience and ease of swapping
  • Stops music from playing

Every time I log a set it or end a rest period the app stops my music from playing and I’m forced to hit play again
  • Not for women

I have been using the app for several weeks. I entered my age and weight and the fact I’m a woman, but it gives me the most impractical exercises. The majority of the example videos are young men. The ones that are women are super fit and young. If I were that fit I wouldn’t need an app to guide me. Why ask question in the profile if your algorithm and AI are going to ignore it. I try to replace the exercise but the options are just as ridiculous.
  • I would give this 6 stars if I could

As a beginner this app is literally the reason I wasn’t completely lost at the gym. It’s incredible, provides split workouts also tells you which muscles you’re targeting.
