    I love Airbnb as a traveler and as a super host! The honest reviews and photos assure me especially when I travel alone that I know what to expect. Especially when it comes to other super host properties and the host themselves I know I’m getting the inside of local eats and things to do!

    I’ve always used AIRBNB when I travel until recently. I stayed at an Airbnb in downtown LA during a trip. Knowing it was going to be shady finding parking plus the fact that I had rented a Porsche and wanted it garage, I immediately checked the “has parking” option as that was the most important thing to me. 3 hours before I checked in, the “host” told me that I no longer had parking (I could no longer cancel at this point) he told me I would need to park a block away in an unsupervised lot and pay extra. He told me. Obviously this wasn’t okay, but I tend to let things go with the flow instead of cause a problem so I gave it a chance. Downtown LA is so unsafe and not only did this host lie to me and say it was in West Hollywood, it was a few blocks from skid row full of homeless people. The next day I found that someone had scratched my rented Porsche and was charged for the damage. After taking to I kid you not 10 different employees each asking me to explain my situation when they could have easily keep past conversations in file was sloppy. I spent a lot of money with Airbnb and all of it was a lie. I have no doubt the actual renter of the condo stored his own car in the spot he advertises for and hours before someone checks in, he cancels your spot. I felt very unsafe walking a block to my Airbnb alone at 1am after meeting with friends when I expected to have a safe garage space. AIRBNB sided with their renter and I will never rent you airbnb again. Honestly hotels are now… better at least I know what I’m getting, VRBO is great as well.

    This app is incredible but I am no longer getting notifications since the last few updates- which impacts me as a host! I have tried to fix it from the app, from my iPhone setting, uninstall, reinstall- nothing is working. It’s a huge flaw that impacts my experience!

    This app is great if everything goes as planned. But if your place is dirty, with trash in the pool. You only get one day of pool heating even tho you paid for two. They don't help with anything. Our power even went out for an entire day with no explanation. Airbnb have no help. Told me to request my own money back from the host? That's just weird? They also just ended the conversation when I asked to talk to someone higher up and just kept telling me to figure it out on my own.

    DO NOT book with Airbnb. If you are trying to save money by staying at an Airbnb instead of a hotel, STAY AT A HOTEL!! It is reliable, safe, and filled with real customer service people. I have had plenty of good experiences with the platform until recently. After having to leave a booking due to unsafe property conditions, Airbnb did not provide a refund from the host. We requested reimbursement for our alternative housing and communicated with Airbnb customer service for 3 weeks straight. We sent them video and photo evidence via email multiple times and they continued to deny that they recieved anything. Every time we sent a message there was a different representative and it was entirely written by AI, with grammatical issues and repeated phrases expressing how "sorry" they were in many different ways. They would also call me at odd hours of the day/night. Lastly, they denied that we reported the concern in time and kept on requesting information that we had already provided.

    Airbnb isn’t even worth using anymore due to the insane hidden fees. The cleaning fee basically doubles the price of the stay and there’s no way to see it while searching.

    airbnb should understand that their platform became successful because host were using their platform. Travelers would go with the cheapest and most convenience place listed my property on Airbnb after one month customer service is horrible. They’re not trained and all they care about is closing the ticket.
  • Unfortunately Airbnb decided to trust the racist host

    Well, I have been with Airbnb for almost 10 years. But last year I stayed with a woman in Norway who was racist and nasty to my friends and I. She left me a ridiculous review and I tried to explain to Airbnb that I had 24 amazing reviews. And on February 5th, they deleted her comment finally. When I logged onto my account months later, I realized that the comment was miraculously back. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told no. And even though I asked over and over again why the comment was put back, they just said nothing. So I am done. I have heard from friends about Airbnb leaving them in unsafe circumstances and I should have quit at that point. This is just scary to me and Airbnb needs to change their way of doing business. But someone will need them and that will continue.
