    The app is okay. Please know you can only read a few books a month. I was under the impression that it was unlimited because nowhere does it say that there is a limit. The app is very buggy and customer service is very difficult to work with. I think the idea is good but the platform is very lacking. Update: I now cannot use kindle on this app which is the big reason I got it in the first place. Also they keep insisting I do a screen recording when I’ve repeatedly told them I can’t. So much for helping those with disabilities. :(

    I’ve been using this almost everyday. I get overwhelmed by sounds pretty easily and listening to the audio helps me center myself. It’s great when I go on a run and the sleep timer is my favorite feature.

    For a very expensive App, this is getting worst every update. It just stops reading every single minute! From latest update, it won’t even work anymore

    I have ADHD and have trouble focusing and this has helped me a lot with reading textbook and class materials. It works pretty well and is easy to use. However, premium is VERY expensive and it hasn’t given me a monthly option, only the yearly price. My second complaint is the amount of time is inaccurate. I checked at 5:40, it is was at 1:19 and at 6:00, it was only at 1:32. 7 minutes behind where it should be! No pausing or anything. If it’s taking an extra 7 minutes every 20 minutes, for a document that it says is an hour long, that’s an extra 35 minutes. This document I did this test on is 3 hours, according to speechify. But that would be an extra hour and 45 minutes! That’s ridiculous. The time should be accurate. I have checked and when I change the speed, the amount of time changes too. It’s very frustrating to not actually know how long it will take when it’s always taking longer than it says.

    Does it work well yes Do some some of the voices sound really good yes what you need to know this app / service is not unlimited you are limited to 150,000 spoken words a month which could equal out to one 300 page book I started to subscribe but thankfully I found this out in time they make a point of not making this obvious they do not tell you this upfront buyer beware

    1. Mobile app crashes when trying to listen to a book. Most of the time this is with bigger pdfs, but still have to reopen the app every 3 minutes it crashes is very annoying. 2. The estimated time is not accurate. A lot of times it will say that it will take 30 minutes to listen to the item, however it is very wrong- sometimes it could be off by 15 or even 30 minutes- making what you thought would be a 30 minute listen an hour listen. Please update the system that calculates the time.

    I signed up for a trial to test out this service. I was disappointed right away because there were many common English words that were read incorrectly and it was only slightly better than free services I had tried. I canceled WITHIN the trial period and was still charged for a month of service. Because I canceled within the designated trial period, I reached out to dispute the charge. The response I received said, “I completely understand your point, however processing a refund for a monthly subscription is outside of our refund policy.” Overall not a great exercise and I would not recommend using Speechify!

    On latest iPhone 15 pro, crashes every 2-3 minutes and makes it impossible to listen to anything - no response from support.

    We got this app for our daughter, who’s dyslexic, as a way for her to work independently. It often skips words or lines of text so the information doesn’t make sense. It will also pick up words from the back side of a page and insert nonsense into the sentence. It was a waste of $160. If you truly need a program to read text to you I would keep looking.

    Don’t download. After ur trial ends they will take $130 from you and not refund any of it. They sign you up for a year even if u cancel after your trial.
